4-21-2008, Scranton Cultural Center, Scranton, PA

Democratic Presidential Candidate and New York Senator, Hillary Rodham Clinton was plugged into the highly enthusiastic and energized capacity crowd today in Scranton.

This being her family's home town she was lead in by her team of local, national alies like Texas Congresswoman, Shelia Jackson Lee, and family supporters including her guiding light and mother, Mrs. Dorthy Howell Rodham. Also in attendance were her by now steadfast familiar faces in the PA camp such as PA State Representitive, Eddie "Day" Pashinski, Wilkes-Barre, PA Mayor Tom Leighton and the fervent Mayor of Scranton, Chris Doherty.

Those in attendance were amped up and were remenicint of a pep rally while organizers were throwing out free t-shirts donated by volunteer vendors. The campaign MC was guiding them through the chanting to see who would win the coveted prizes of campaign memoribilia and get ready to chant for Hillary in anticipation of her arrival...such responses were met with great appreciate by Hillary the moment she stepped on stage.

After a meaningful introduction from a local campaign volunteer whose entire family was involved in at least one of the wars for the last 70+ years, both Hillary and the HillRaiser were almost moved to tears. The heartfelt message was well recieved by the eager crowd. The Former First Lady was today truly the "Lady in Red", wearing a beautiful red tailored jacket that enhanced her already determined dimeanor.

Having met with her afterwards for a brief introduction and well wishes she thought my business card was important enough to take for future consideration of maybe a purchase of the "Official Bush Countdown Clock" which I am affiliated with. She thought and spoke well of it stating" How funny what a great idea, thanks I will surely look at this!"

As expected the crowd was well hyped up to see their hometown girl "Miss" Hillary as she was called by a supporter outside to a reporter she was correcting when he announced from his perch from above within the outdoor balcony. The interviews took place under the US Flag after the rally was over. She was taking multiplt interviews as she did before the rally with a select few of the international and major network press pool including several local news affiliate telecasts.
With only 36 hours left she drove home the message that everyone has been so committed to in this the "Keystone State" and that is win big by saying "If you need to know where I stand on the issues it is easy just by looking at my website and by telling all your friends to visit it by going to http://www.hillaryclinton.com/ and look at the issues I have posted there from; immagration to autism and as to what my plan is to reduce the high price of gasoline!". She was encouraging the captive audience to go out to the polls tomorrow and vote in order to win and win decisively.

Bill Clinton was in Wilkes-Barre, PA supporting Hillary Clinton

Photo Credit: Tom Williams/NetInception.com LLC

A beautiful Saturday morning, at the Wilkes University Marts Student Center in Wilkes-Barre, PA, former President Bill Clinton, was introduced by the long standing U.S. Congressman Paul Kanjorski and Wilkes-Barre, PA Mayor Tom Leighton today. The illustrious and always friendly was met with several rounds of applause from people in the back entrance of the gymnasium before he spoke in supporting his wife and democratic candidate for President, Hillary Clinton. In his address to hundreds of people, he rallied voters together for an intimate speech about Hillary's stance of being against the war in Iraq and most importantly how "Hillary is the candidate with highest number of generals, military leaders and vetrans backing her " in her run for president.

In attendance were some of our earliest pioneers in the local infrastructure of Luzerne and Lackawanna counties. People such as the dedicated 20+ year PA state senator Ralph Musto and state representitive Eddie "Day" Pashinski as well as Luzerne County Democratic Chairman Atty. Mark Buffalino made a powerful team in support of their choice for president New York State Senator Hillary Clinton.

If it wasn't for a mutualcooperation between PA State Senator Ralph Musto and the late great U.S. Congressman Daniel J. Flood these two 1 million plus communites would possibly not even be but a blimp on the map. These political entreprenuers in cooperation with local government guided both the state turnpike authority to construct the unplanned Northeast Extension of the PA State Turpike to come right through the heart of the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton areas as well as on the federal level we wouldn't have had U.S. Interstate 81 built parallel to the same route through Pittston, PA .

This now heavily populated region known as the birthplace of "Antracite Coal" is the middle point between these now thriving metropolis'. As it was planned the I-81 "corridor" would have made a right turn winding east away from the Wyoming Vally around Hazelton and gone through the Poconos to New York. This great historic population migration occurred during and was aided by as well while in his early years as a Congressman by the other speaker in today's rally, current U.S. House Representitive, Democrat Paul Kanjorski.

Clinton's Concord Conversation Draws Over 3,000 People

Clinton Pledges to Earn Every Vote, Campaign the New Hampshire way. Clinton's First Stop Today Drew Record Crowd in New Hampshire's North Country.

Concord, NH - Hillary Clinton made her second stop of the day this afternoon at an event in Concord that drew over 3,000 people. The campaign had expected 1,000 people to come to the Concord event.

Pledging that she'd work to earn every vote and to campaign the New Hampshire way, Clinton met with voters and spoke about Iraq, the economy, health care, energy and other issues before taking questions from the crowd. Clinton drew cheers and applause when she spoke about her efforts to bring about an end to the War in Iraq.

Earlier today in Berlin (pronounced BURR-lin), 500 people came out to meet Clinton. Three hundred people packed Berlin's City Hall and 200 people filled an overflow room across the street to capacity. It's the first time in recent memory that a presidential candidate has kicked off a campaign in the North Country and has drawn a crowd this size there.

Clinton's decision to kick off her New Hampshire campaign in Berlin reflects her commitment to running a strong campaign in the Granite State. It's also a metaphor for the kind of national campaign she'd run as the Democratic nominee in 2008: Just as she will visit every corner of New Hampshire, she'll campaign in communities throughout the country.

Overall, more than 3,500 people came out to see Clinton on her campaign's first day in the Granite State.

New Fox Poll: Hillary Toughest on Terrorism Among Prez Contenders

Majority of general election voters polled say they're comfortable with a potential Hillary presidency

Hillary leads nearest Dem in primary race 43-15

Americans believe that Hillary Clinton would be the toughest on terrorism of all presidential candidates in either party, according to a new Fox News/Opinion Dynamics poll (PDF) out this afternoon.

The poll also shows Clinton opening up a significant lead in the Democratic primary and reveals that a majority of general election voters are comfortable with her in the White House. The poll echoes the trend of recent state and national polls showing Clinton leading in the race for President.

According to the new Fox News/Opinion Dynamics Poll:

  • Hillary edges all candidates of either party when voters are asked which one would be toughest on terrorism;
  • A majority of those polled (from either party) are "comfortable" with a potential Hillary presidency;
  • Hillary leads the primary nearly 3-1, earning the support of 43 percent of self-identified Democrats, compared with 15 percent for the nearest competitor;
  • Hillary's share of the primary electorate has jumped 10 points, from 33 percent in the December poll to 43 percent now;
  • Hillary's favorability rating is highest of all Democrats and she is the only one of the candidates whose rating went up since the last time it was asked (October).
  • These polls come on the heels of a recent Newsweek poll showing Hillary leading every Democratic and Republican contender she was matched up against, and a Quinnipiac poll showing her winning Ohio in both a primary and general election.
